What is RAWEdit

RAWEdit is a mod for the game Empire at War (EaW) or for the DLC Forces of Corruption (FoC) which is also required for this mod. This mod is based on the Republic at War (RaW) mod but has become relatively independent. With this mod, the factions from the RaW Mod are added as well as the empire and the rebellion. The empire also includes First Order units of the Republic and the Chiss (not yet available) There are also numerous units available out of the Expanded Universe (EU).

Naming

The mod was originally intended as a private experiment based on the Mod Republic at War. From time to time we have units out added other mods. This gave the mod a little added value. To ultimately play them together, we had to use them on Steam Upload. Since we didn't have a name for the mod, we called it RAWEdit. RAW stands for Republic At War. At that time, Edit stood only for the minor changes to the basic mod. There is not much left of the basic mod at the current time. Only the basic models of the Republic and the CIS. From time to time own units and factions also came into the mod. From time to time own units and factions also came into the mod.

Caution! The multiplayer with the GoG Edition is very complicated and does not always work. Also playing as a GoG Edition user with a Steam edition user, in multiplayer, is often difficult. Nevertheless, it is theoretically possible with a VPN. As user of the Steam Edition the multiplayer is not a problem as long as the player also has the Steam Edition.
